I discovered actress and artist Charlotte Saliou several years ago at the Avignon Festival, for her show “Jackie Star”. An incomparable mastery of clowning, but also many other talents such as lyric singing, dancing and writing.

Last year, I was lucky enough to take part in a workshop with her at the Samovar school in Paris. Clowning demands a high level of technical mastery, but also total freedom of expression, with no limits or taboos. This course was one of the experiences that opened up a new space of freedom for me, a new window of expression.

I suggest you run and see the show “‘ELIANES”! which runs until March at the Théâtre de dix heures in Paris.

We often talk about the word “Burlesque”, but here it takes on its full meaning from a comic, extravagant, offbeat and surprising point of view!
