Make-up removal is to our skin what lacing is to our corset:
A must-have!
So today, we’re giving vegetable oil makeup removal a try. Gentler than a traditional makeup remover and richer than micellar water, oil is a very interesting choice for makeup removal.
How does it work?
Vegetable oil will not only rid our skin of impurities, traces of pollution and, of course, makeup, but it will also deeply moisturize and nourish our skin thanks to its various antioxidants, essential fatty acids, omega 3 and vitamins!
For this to work, we choose it to be oily, whatever our skin type. In fact, particularly gentle and non-abrasive (forget the wipes that strip like Mr Clean), it’s perfect for sensitive skin.
Also ideal for dry skin, it is just as suitable for combination and oily skin, contrary to what you might think!
As the skin is naturally covered with a hydrolipidic film, all skin types, including oily skin, need softness, hydration and, yes, oiliness, it will regulate sebum.
How to choose it?
Jojoba oil is softening and balancing, perfect for combination and oily skin.
Apricot oil gives a healthy glow and fights aging, just likeolive oil , which is very effective and economical, or avocado oil , which is very popular with dry skin and is also very good against skin aging.
Coconut oil , with its heavenly island scent, also removes make-up and is suitable for all skin types.
Sweet almond oil remains the safest for even the most sensitive skin!
There’s nothing to stop you mixing them together to benefit from all their virtues – it’s up to your imagination!
This time I mixed avocado oil into my coconut oil!
Is it worth specifying that it must be organic, virgin and first cold-pressed?
Choose opaque or dark containers, which make your oil last longer – rancid oil on the skin is a no-no!
How do we proceed?
Nothing could be simpler: just take a small amount of oil with clean, dry hands and apply to the face, massaging in a circular motion from the center outwards.
Make-up dissolves in the oil, and all that’s left to do is remove the excess with your usual cleanser.
You can finish off with a floral water to rid your skin of limescale!
Your skin is now makeup-free and ready to receive your night care, before you curl up in Morpheus’ arms!
